Dr. Olinger

My name is Chad Olinger, and I am a native Iowan who went to Nevada High School just outside Ames, IA. I studied at Creighton University in Omaha, NE where I met my wife, Catherine. After dental school, I served four years active duty in the United States Army in Kansas and Tennessee. After serving, I practiced in Memphis, TN and Seattle, WA until my wife completed her medical training. We moved back to Iowa and have lived in Iowa City since 2021. My wife is a physician at the University of Iowa.

We are blessed with an 11-year-old son named Edward, who attends Regina, and a four-month-old daughter named Maeve. Outside of the dental office, you can find us at the hockey rink or swimming pool where our son plays hockey for the Jr. Heartlanders and swims for IFly. You may even see us running around the neighborhood with our three dogs! 

Dr. Van Beek

I attended Northwestern College for my undergraduate degree in biology before attending the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. After graduating from the UI College of Dentistry in 2006, I completed a post graduate fellowship in Geriatric Dentistry. I have had the privilege of working at this practice and serving this community since finishing my training in 2007. 



I grew up in LeMars, Iowa where I met my wife Marta while participating in a high school musical theatre production of Hello Dolly. We got married after Marta’s first year of medical school, and have been proud to call Iowa City our home for the last 30 years. Marta continues as a physician with the University Department of Dermatology. We had the honor of raising three amazing children in this community and currently enjoy spending time with our two grandchildren. Outside the office I enjoy woodworking, restoration projects, gardening or wading in a river casting for trout. 

Angie Watson – Business Manager

I grew up near Bellevue (Eastern Iowa along the Mississippi River) and moved to Iowa City to attend the University of Iowa. There I met my husband, Bryon, who also graduated from the U of I. After graduating with a business degree, I found a home and have been here for over 20 years now. I’ve celebrated many of life’s milestones while working here, including getting married and having a beautiful and talented daughter, Joey.



We live in Lisbon with our puppy, Snitch. If we aren’t running somewhere for one of Joey’s events, I am likely home playing board games, watching movies, or heading towards Wrigley to watch the Cubs!

The Clinical Family

We have a friendly face at the front desk when you walk in and an incredible team of assistants and hygienists working with you in the rooms both upstairs and down. Most have been here for years because they love the environment we have created and love working with our amazing patients. They take pride in making every visit comfortable, personal, and even a little fun so you always feel right at home!
